That’s a pretty awesome plug! Thanks so much to Mark Bridges for making those dresses look so awesome! What an honor to be involved with that film. I’m glad I was able to help Mark and the whole costume crew come up with the dresses he needed. I brought him everything we had in stock, 2 racks, and let him pick whatever he wanted and gave it to him for as close my cost as I could. I had no idea this silent, black and white movie would even be released, but I knew that if it was released, and even moderately successful that the very people who would go and see a 1920s reproduction silent film would be the ones who would already loved the dresses Leluxeclothing.com made. For me it was an obvious choice to give them everything I could considering the scale of what they were trying to pull of and the budget they had.

6 Golden Globes, an almost certain oscar nominee, Best actor at Cannes…beyond my wildest dreams.

The Charleston in Ivory

Back in August we had a bridal photo shoot in an extraordinary venue called ‘Glencot House’ in the UK in preparation for the launch of the UK based Leluxe Clothing Website (due to launch in October.) We took a few select dresses including ‘The Charleston’ which is now available in cream and let the dresses work their magic in this magnificent setting. The venue itself was rammed to the rafters with an eclectic mix of vintage finds, around the grounds there were Grand Pianos, Chandeliers hanging from trees…we truly felt as though we’d stepped back in time or maybe fallen down a rabbit hole it was quite a surreal place, we also gathered quite a few onlookers and kept being approached asking where the dresses were from! Always a good sign.  Anyway, enough of my ramblings…take a look at the dress candy!

In addition to “The Artist”, both “Gossip Girl” and “Vampire Diaries” will be using Leluxe dresses for segments of the series where the actresses wear 1920s dresses. I can’t say yet whether it is in a dream sequence or re-enactment of the twenties. I can confirm that the dresses will appear in the third show of the season in the case of “Vampire Diaries” which would put it in the second half of September, and I know our dresses will also be in “Gossip Girl”, but as yet I don’t know the episode.  Stay tuned for more developments and press coverage.
